hey guys it's ro welcome to another nerdy nummies today we have a very special guest it's Colleen Oh guys hi I'm so excited to be here I am so excited that you are here she is super talented I'm going to put her links all down below I am a huge fan i watch your videos for years he can sing she's got comedy skills okay what are you what are you doing even that series now if you guys haven't seen the Netflix series that came out last year it's called here's back off that's the name of the series and we're celebrating today because yes we're already writing season – I'm so excited yeah today I want to make something from the Netflix series yeah I feel like the most iconic food was that really cool foot popsicles yes the froze toes I ate so many of these on set and they made me so sick and they tasted horrible so I'm so excited to make one a taste of good that Ryoga today we're making one it's not gonna be an actual popsicle but it is gonna be a froze toes cookie pop let's get started the recipe that we're making today is a vanilla almond sugar cookie recipe and the things you will need will be three cups of all-purpose flour one and a half cups of sugar 3/4 cup of almond meal 2 eggs 2 sticks of salted butter at room temperature 1/2 a teaspoon of almond extract one and a half teaspoons of vanilla extract 1/2 a teaspoon of ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 1/8 teaspoon of salt then to decorate you'll need some pink gumballs a foot shaped cookie cutter popsicle sticks light blue royal icing with a number 3 tip now let's put it all together the first step to making these cookies in a medium bowl we're gonna whisk together our dry ingredients I'm gonna pour in nutmeg boom oh oh baking powder salt cooling we pour in the flour and almond I can do it oh my gosh Oh success I just noticed your purple me I know I just wet are they do kind of oh look and you're like the painter you look like the pinky and the kitties a top we're all matching jumping this in ready call and whisk together till well combined and then we're gonna set it off to the side the next step is creaming together the butter and the sugar you know just put them in a medium bowl and we've left the butter out at room temperature so it's soft it's a little sticky it makes it easier to cream then using a hand mixer mix together til light and fluffy so now we're going to add the eggs one at a time Monroe I want you to go first and I want you to teach me how to do this correctly okay this is the one-handed egg crap so you go crack and twist – you got this crack twist to the list of things of talents you've got one handed egg cracks I like though I'm like really proud of you here we are now we're covered in eggs we can rinse this okay cool those were nice I would have one as a pet I'm gonna mix it up mix meet sweets make sticks and add our extracts : you wanna grab those oh I have never wanted to do anything more in my life give me a double pour pour it in there yeah we got some splashes on happening because we're gonna put together our dry ingredients in our wet ingredients I'm gonna be mixing on a low speed and you're gonna just slowly keep pouring in I second that all constant waterfall yeah keep going immutable water balls great now that our dough is ready we're going to chop it in half and then form it into little disks oh just eyeball it doesn't have to be perfect I was like a brain I'll pick up one of the sides of our dough brain and you were just gonna shape it into a disk and then we wrap it up tight and I'll come this way and then you do top and I'll do now pop please in the fridge for one hour minimum our dough is ready to be rolled out but first I'm gonna teach you to do a little baking flare I like to just pull this and just pull it up double flip and the goal is to get it to land right here mine's gonna hit that camera one two three take a pinch of flour sprinkle it down on the work surface so your dough doesn't stick sprinkle some flour on top of your dough you're just gonna roll it to be about a quarter inch thick oh no baby just do that there we go there we go little bit of is that all right our dough is rolled out and so now we're gonna cut out our cute little feet and you get rid of the excess place it anywhere press it down give it a little jiggle you would not believe how hard it is to find a cute foot cookie you know I do believe that it would be hard because I don't think most people think of smooth an appetizing you know a lot of people are into feet oh there is this website that was like I got a Google Alert of my name you're on your feet girl I don't think most people think of lettuce appetizing all right we got all our feet cut out and so now we're gonna turn our feet into little feet cookie pops I was just looking at these as a side note but these little chunky toes they look like my toes they're cute if this is what your toes look like I'm jealous cuz my feet are a little terrifying so go flip your cookie upside down take a pop place about right there about halfway down and you don't need a present to are just really gently because the cookie will bake around it's pretty interesting I already failed at this that's okay you can you know might meet you fail friends flip it back the other way these cookies are ready to bake me though pre-heat your oven to 350 and bake them for 12 to 15 minutes all right our cookies are done baking and we gave them plenty of time to cool so now what do we do what do we do with this know we decorate step one we've got our piping bags filled with blue royal icing with number three tips at the end we're a little bit more control we are gonna pipe an outline of our cookie have you ever done this before no and I'm concentrating so hard and it looks terrible I love it it looks great how do you make it look so good I hold my breath would it's really detailed stuff I do that when I'm doing my makeup when I'm done I'm like scary I've gotten the liner rainy hi now we are going to flood this outline has hardened so it acts as a fence it's gonna hold in the rest of our icing you're gonna take your little icing bag then just fill it in it doesn't have to be perfect cuz we've got toothpicks here just move the icing around to fill it in together who've quick but you have a little bit of time okay I feel like I've already run out of time oh it's getting chunky oh I didn't know there was a time limit I wasn't aware this one will be better I know about the time limit so I'm gonna crush it okay I'm not gonna distract you don't talk to me girl you told me about a time limit I gotta go get one more here we go let's do it mmmmmm oh I'm out of icing all right our cookies are ready they set for another ten and then we're gonna add a gumball yes this is the final decoration step we've already cut the gumballs in half you use a sharp knife to do so from lip it upside down and put a little bit of royal icing all around the outside like this doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo-doo and then we're just gonna plop it down right here that's so cute I love that it looks like a froze going to prove oh yes I did here these are a broom then we're gonna do that to the rest of our cookies for anything that's in a quarter machine still as an adult woman I have to get whatever's in that quarter machine I like when they have candy machine get a handful of like stale M&Ms oh really old runts here are the froze those cookie puffs that we made today a huge big THANK YOU to kool-aid thank you for helping me big-time Oh fun I just
